ABOUT ABOUT

Playtime to Recharge Your Creativity

If you're curious about improv but panic at the thought of having to “make stuff up on the spot”, this is your chance to explore the concepts of “Yes And” and “Mistakes are just happy accidents” in a safe, supportive environment. We'll play some games, have some fun, and shake off 2020 as we recharge our creative energy and welcome in the New Year.

No improv experience required! Honest!

Bio:

Improvisor and award-winning writer Joanne Brokaw took her first improv class when she turned 50, and hasn't looked back since. Now the former 'fraidy cat with a terminal case of procrastination leads workshops to help people of all ages push past fear, embrace creativity, and learn to play again. Based in Rochester, NY, Joanne is a member of The Focus Theater house team The Urge, a third of the comedy trio Easily Amused, and one half of the improv duo A Happy Accident Improv. Her latest book, "Suddenly Stardust: A Memoir (Of Sorts) About Fear, Freedom & Improv", is a quirky recounting of how improvisational theater changed her life.
